NOTE: **This "project" is in the process of being overhauled with new art including do-overs of some existing species designs. ANYTHING WITH A WHITE BACKGROUND IS FROM THE OLDER SERIES OF DRAWINGS AND IS OBSOLETE AND WILL BE GETTING RE-DONE.** Nearly 200 years ago a devastating pandemic came close to wiping out the human species. The survivors fled the mainland and sought refuge on the island they would come to call Araea (from the Latin word for "refuge" or "sanctuary".) a harsh land where dinosaurs continued to survive in isolation after the K/T extinction event. (Though let's face it, the whole "virus/lost island" thing is just a lame plot device to get humans and dinosaurs together.) Trying to rebuild the world they lost, the human pioneers set to work developing this new land, creating government, industry, society and forever changing the island in the process.
